As God Commands.. don´t shoot the piano player..

.. two gigs this weekend, Fagersta “The Green Man” on Saturday with Fibes (what a gig it was!?, looked like Saloon with its revolving doors, wooden floor and drunken people smoking inside!?.. only thing missing was the “don´t shoot the piano player” – sign on my keyboards!) The day after I went to Karlskoga with TH trio and played some poetic chamber jazz music for piano double bass and drums.. Got some free time in Örebro where I spend the hole Sunday morning at “Nya konditoriet” reading Niccolo Amanitis “As God Commands”.. Finished the book later the same evening back i Gbg. A really good book, strongly recommended.. Read it! Now!

Soumi.. with some technical difficulties..

.. our belt packs with all our in-ear listening left on the airplane, seat 25B!?!?!.. A couple of phone calls later it was found in the lost and found at the airport and sent to us at the venue.. ahhh, pure luck! Chris managed to make his flight two seconds before boarding was closed. YLE is recording the show and time is not on our side..

Back at the venue “Korjaamo” now and waiting for the opening act to start, and Chris will give a short live interview with Finnish television/radio YLE before we go on stage..

Fire..

There was a fire in our house and our neighbour Stig died on Friday. A real tragedy. RIP

Åre..

..the weather didn´t treat us kindly.. not on the way up anyway.. Snow snow and then.. ..hmm, more snow. When we finally arrived we just hang out in our cottage, drank some beers and watched “Hot Shots”.. Next day:

Got some great food at “Bygget”!! Then some rest, and then we performed a great show with a spectacular ending by Chris who fired off the microphone by mistake due to grabbing the mic stand too hard. It went off like a rocket! Someone in the audience reacted and just threw it back on stage, right into the bassdrum!?!?! Before this one of Nilssonses guitars and a tambourine got in to a fight with a damaged guitar and a wrecked tambourine as result.. What an evening!!

Up 0600 and a long drive back to Sthlm and Berns for a Sail Event Gig..

..gig week spectaculaireaux!.. playing tonight at Berns Salonger with Fibes on Unibet´s “Svenska Spelgalan”.. The name of the event is extra funny if you are a gambling Swede and know the quarrel between Svenska Spel and Unibet due to the monopoly, haha

Leaving for Åre tomorrow and prays that the wheather treats us kindly. Had a hard time reaching Stockholm in time for todays sound check. One funny thing happened thou, cruising the left lane a couple of miles south of Södertälje we drove past Swedish author Björn Ranelid, with his registration plate “RANELID”.. Funny guy in man ways.. Nice Jaguar also.. Nice tan..

P3 Guld, and more Hall synthezeiser to Halberstad

Attended the “P3 Guld awards” with Fibes oh Fibes on the 19th. Nominated in the “best group” category. Fun show hosted by Timo Räisänen and cool performances by Teddybears and Spankrock (feat Salem, Robyn). Then yesterday (with minor head ache) we recorded the rest of the keyboard tracks for Halberstads album. We created a world of sounds using the Nord Electro 3, Yamaha PSR, Juno 106, Philacorda organ and some other strange-sounding stuff provided by Tomas. Playing Uppsala and Vara this weekend with Fibes.

this week; halberstad recording sessions..

.. this Tuesday mr brandt recorded some bass for Tomas Halberstads upcoming second album. Yesterday I went into a practicing mode (ages ago, but managed to drag myself thru some Bach and Chopin) and producing some of my stuff = stayed all day in the studio. Today Thursday I recorded piano and other keyboard stuff all day with Tomas and Rob (producer) in the studio for Tomas album..
